MCD TestSuite
MCD TestManager – The universal test platform
Flexible test platform for individual test tasks
The MCD TestManager connects different development environments, software modules and hardware components within an open test platform. In this way, existing applications and measuring equipment can be flexibly integrated and testing processes can be mapped from the development setup to the automated production system.

MCD TestManager – The universal test platform
In addition to MCD's own interpreter language, the TestManager supports .NET applications with C#, VB and J# as well as the direct integration of NI LabVIEW® VIs. Existing software modules can be integrated into the test environment via DLLs, COM/ActiveX components and .NET assemblies.
The direct switch between runtime and development environments makes it easier to commission, adapt and optimize test systems. Process and measurement data can be exchanged between the integrated components while maintaining access to the connected hardware.
A flexible end-of-line test bench
For this application, MCD developed a flexible end-of-line test bench that tests every variant in less than 30 seconds. The system combines optical, mechanical and electrical test methods in one integrated testing concept.

What’s missing matters, too.
Negative testing ensures that equipment features which are not installed cannot be activated. It also verifies that missing features remain unavailable.
Due to its high flexibility, the MCD TestManager is suitable for laboratory and development setups, prototypes and small series as well as automated testing and production systems.

The MCD TestManager impresses with its open software architecture, which enables flexible integration of a wide variety of development environments, hardware components and third-party systems. In addition to MCD’s own interpreter language, the platform supports .NET applications with C#, VB and J# as well as the direct integration of NI LabVIEW® VIs.
LabVIEW® applications can be called synchronously or asynchronously from test sequences. Process and measurement data can be exchanged between the integrated components while maintaining unrestricted access to the connected hardware. Front panels can be displayed independently or integrated directly into the TestManager user interface.
By supporting DLLs, COM/ActiveX components and .NET assemblies, existing software modules can be easily integrated and customer-specific functions can be implemented. The direct switch between runtime and development environments also makes it easier to commission, adapt and optimize test systems.
Test and functional scope
Test and functional scope
The MCD TestManager enables flexible and powerful measurement data acquisition with modular hardware concepts. Standard measuring systems from the MCD Universal Measuring System family (MCD UMS) are used to record measured values. A wide variety of modules in European card format, such as analog and digital converters, multiplexers, frequency generators and frequency counters, can be combined according to the respective test requirements.
PC plug-in cards from manufacturers such as Meilhaus Electronic are also automatically recognized and configured. Additional hardware components can be easily integrated. External measuring devices can be connected via interfaces such as IEEE-488, Ethernet, USB or serial connections and controlled directly from the test sequence.
The high level of flexibility makes the MCD TestManager suitable for a wide range of applications - from laboratory and development setups to prototypes and small series to automated testing and production systems.
